The share of the household sector in gas consumption reached 66 percent

According to Energy Press, a study of the gas consumption pattern in the country’s nationwide network shows that the share of the domestic and commercial sectors in the total gas produced in the country remains high. According to statistics from the National Iranian Gas Company, on February 17, gas consumption in the domestic, commercial and small industrial sectors reached 589 million cubic meters, equivalent to 66 percent of the total gas delivered to the network.

Observing the consumption pattern and using standard heating equipment plays a decisive role in maintaining the stability of the gas supply network and preventing an increase in the network load during peak consumption periods.

The National Iranian Gas Company has emphasized: Consumption management in the domestic and commercial sectors plays a decisive role in the stability of the network and meeting the needs of other sectors. The company has asked subscribers to provide the basis for the continuation of a stable gas supply throughout the country by observing optimal patterns and saving on consumption.
