Oil Minister: Transferring gasoline quota to bank cards will be implemented in the coming months
The Minister of Oil announced that in the first week of implementing the new gasoline plan, consumption had decreased by 9 million liters, and said: "Of course, we must wait for its long-term effects to draw conclusions in this regard."

According to Energy Press, Mohsen Paknejad stated today (Wednesday, January 23) on the sidelines of a cabinet meeting on the impact of implementing the new gasoline plan on the consumption of this petroleum product: “Based on a comparison that our colleagues made between the first and the twenty-first of December, when this regulation had not yet been implemented, the use of personal cards for refueling was actually about 17 percent less than the station card, which is a considerable amount.” He stated that since the implementation of this regulation until the week ending December 30, the use of station cards for refueling has decreased by a total of 24 million liters per day, adding: “Of this amount, about 15 million liters have been transferred to the use of personal cards, and about 9 million liters represent an actual decrease in gasoline consumption.” The Minister of Oil stated: “In any case, the implementation of this regulation in this short period of time has had these effects, but in terms of statistical basis, short-term comparison may not be a suitable basis for conclusions in this regard and long-term effects should be considered.”
