Promulgation of the directive on the organization of research and technology in the oil industry

According to Energy Press, Omid Shakri said today (Monday, January 1st) at the signing ceremony of the selected research and technological contracts of the National Iranian Oil Company: The Minister of Oil has issued a circular with the aim of organizing the research and technology activities of the oil industry, in which tasks have been determined. Based on these assignments, within three months, the prioritized road map document for the oil industry was compiled.
He stated that in November, the document of the research roadmap of the entire oil industry in the upstream and downstream sectors was announced, and added: Based on this roadmap, a book of the technological requirements of the four main companies of the oil industry was compiled and unveiled last week.
The deputy oil minister for engineering, research and technology affairs emphasized: These requirements are focused on the real needs of the oil industry and help define research projects. In this field, the National Iranian Oil Company has the largest share in the Ministry of Oil and the four main companies, and in the recent meeting that was held with the presence of the first vice president, the National Oil Company won the first rank among all government companies.
Obtaining about 460 million dollars of approval for the first production
Stating that the capacity of the National Iranian Oil Company in technological activities is more than one thousand billion Tomans, Shakri said: We hope to see more activities of this company in the field of research and technology.
Pointing out that the Ministry of Oil has been ranked first among state-owned companies in the field of first-time production for several years, but this first rank should not distract us from the main goal and we must seek effectiveness, he clarified: the main goal is not just to build a sample, but orders must be made and the needs that were imported before should be produced inside the country and avoid currency exchange.
