Minister of Oil: Natrazi energy can be crossed with national unity

According to Energy Press, Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad wrote in a note in the Iranian newspaper: Today, a week has passed since the start of the new gasoline distribution structure in the country, a plan that was implemented without any tension and with complete order and calm, in the geography of a large country and after 6 years since the last price change. Although the great and tireless efforts of my colleagues in the oil industry for the technical and operational organization of this plan are admirable and worthy of appreciation, the blessed tree of this “tense-free transformation” was planted by the people, and God willing, the people of Iran will also reap its fruitful fruits.
From my point of view, as a child and servant of the people in the oil industry, this is the secret of the survival of this unique nation in the ups and downs of our country’s history, companionship in times of need and unity in times of crisis. Our country Iran, despite the widening of the volume and scope of sanctions and hostilities, but thanks to having such an informed people, has been able to pass through the fateful turns safely, and the empathetic transition from the current stage with the people’s support will have a fateful effect as a result of the country’s energy imbalance management ideas.
The issue of fuel imbalance has been one of the most important threats to the country’s energy security in recent years, the growth of consumption demand in the country due to many reasons was such that if the previous trend continued, the country would soon face bigger problems.
In recent months, the average consumption of gasoline in the country has recorded unprecedented numbers. The National Iranian Oil, National Gas, and National Petrochemical Industries and National Refining and Distribution of Petroleum Products companies, each in line with their operational duties, have participated in a part of the wide and complex chain of gasoline production, supply, and distribution and are responsible for various tasks. My dear compatriot, the only connection with this very complex and extensive chain is a few minutes of being at the gas station, but behind this service of a few minutes, there are thousands of kilometers of pipelines, marine fleets, docks and import warehouses, 10 large refineries, hundreds of fleet devices and fuel warehouses, and thousands of Iranian children who make the peace and comfort of the few minutes of his compatriot’s presence at the gas station possible.
In recent years, Iran has turned from a gasoline exporting country to a gasoline importing country. On the other hand, the construction of large refineries with the aim of meeting the rapid domestic demand with inconsistent economic logic and operational capacities, and to think that the country should build a large refinery every few years to supply domestic gasoline is neither economically justified nor operational and financial capacities allow it. Therefore, to modify the structure of gasoline consumption, its step-by-step transformation is necessary.
On the other hand, at the same time as the formulation of consumption optimization plans and changes in the structure of gasoline distribution, the increase of domestic production by the refineries in production, the improvement of product quality, and the construction of refineries with medium capacities by the non-governmental sector are being carried out. In the last 15 months, the Ministry of Petroleum has used all its legal capacities to quickly advance the plans, remove obstacles and monitor the successful completion of these projects, and we hope that in the near future, at the same time as the consumption will decrease. Internally, as a result of the policies of optimization and transformation of the distribution system and with the commissioning of new refineries, Iran will once again become a country that exports petroleum products.
