Announcement from the National Iranian Petroleum Distribution Company regarding the public call for converting gasoline vehicles to dual-fuel LPG and CNG

According to Energy Press, citing the Public Relations Department of the National Refining and Distribution Company, in view of the need to diversify the fuel portfolio and develop clean fuels, the company brings to the public’s attention detailed points regarding the workshop conversion of gasoline vehicles to dual-fuel gasoline/gas vehicles and also the free conversion of public and private passenger vehicles with CNG. 1- LPG: Considering the legislator’s obligation to use this clean fuel and the excess capacity of liquefied gas production over its demand in the country, a public call for workshop conversion of gasoline vehicles to dual-fuel gasoline/gas vehicles is being made for all types of public and private vehicles that are not CNG-fueled. Applicants can visit the GCR.NIOPDC.IR website from 10 am on Sunday, 23/9/1404 to select authorized workshop conversion centers and then convert the vehicle to dual-fuel in a standard and safe manner by receiving a health certificate. This conversion is a good opportunity for people who have high gasoline consumption due to work or intercity travel. The price of each liter of liquefied gas for the end consumer will be 1500 Tomans. It is worth noting that CNG-fueled vehicles (which are registered as CNG-fueled vehicles in the systems of the National Iranian Petroleum Distribution Company and the Faraj Traffic Police) cannot be converted to liquefied gas.
