Pars Oil and Gas’s major actions to safely navigate the cold season
On the eve of the cold season, Pars Oil and Gas Company has advanced a series of its most important development and operational projects to get through the winter with maximum capacity.

According to Energy Press, Pars Oil and Gas Company has advanced a series of its most important development and operational projects on the eve of the cold season to get through the winter with maximum capacity. In recent weeks, with the exploitation of three new wells in Phase 13, two new wells in Phase 14, and the fourth infill well, several million cubic meters of daily gas production capacity have been added, and the South Pars production record reached 718 million cubic meters per day; a record that plays a fundamental role in reducing the gas imbalance.
Following this trend, three development wells in Phase 13 also came into operation in December to add another five million cubic meters per day to the country’s capacity; an action that was carried out in cooperation between Pars Oil and Gas Company and the Khatam al-Anbiya (PBUH) base and completed an important part of the remaining work in this phase.
At the same time, drilling projects have also been pursued with greater speed. The completion of the drilling of the second infill well on the SPD-1 platform, phase one, ahead of schedule and relying on the capabilities of Iranian engineers, was one of the most important achievements in recent months. The official start of drilling operations in the Bilal gas field with the deployment of the DCI-1 offshore rig is also another step towards increasing sustainable production from the joint fields.
