The capacity of the country’s renewable power plants reached 3,100 MW.

According to Energy Press, Amir Dodab-Nejad announced in a television interview that the development of renewable energies has doubled in the country over the past year and announced: The installed capacity of renewable power plants has reached 3,100 MW in October of this year, from 1,200 MW in October of last year, which represents a 107 percent increase in one year.
He added: In the past year, the development of renewables has reached a point where new capacity is added to the grid every two weeks, equivalent to one year in previous years, and the country’s capacity in the field of clean energy has doubled.
Describing the plan to develop renewable power plants by the end of the year, Dodab-Nejad said: The capacity of renewable power plants will reach 5,000 MW by the end of this year and 7,000 MW by the beginning of next summer. Also, according to the plan, the installed capacity will reach 11,000 MW by the end of next summer.
