CEO of National Gas Company: The network is ready to face severe cold

According to Energy Press, Saeed Tavakoli, in an interview with Shana reporter about the situation of gas supply to power plants due to the cold weather and increased consumption in the domestic and commercial sectors, stated: The amount of gas delivered to power plants in November and the early days of December was much higher than the agreed plan.
Comparing this year’s cold with last year, he said: According to meteorological reports, the average weather was not warmer than last year, but due to the gradual cooling, this year’s cold has not shown itself like last year.
Regarding the readiness of the gas supply network to the domestic sector in the face of severe cold, the CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company stated: There is full readiness to maintain the stability of the network in the domestic, commercial, retail and transportation sectors; even if the severity of the cold increases, the network will be managed with planned mechanisms.
