Reduction in gas production and decline in electricity exports; new warning from the Statistics Center about energy imbalance

Energy Press reports that, according to statistics published by the Statistical Center of Iran on energy carriers, the country’s natural gas production, consumption and export volume decreased in the spring of 1404 compared to the winter of 1403. There is a decrease of more than 120 million cubic meters per day in both the production and consumption of light gas.
In the spring of this year, the production of light gas was 726.7 million cubic meters per day and the total consumption was 625.1 million cubic meters per day, while this figure for the winter of last year was 855.1 million cubic meters per day in the production sector and 733.3 million cubic meters per day in the consumption sector.
According to statistics, the price of a barrel of OPEC crude oil has also decreased from $76.6 in the winter of 1403 to $68.1 per barrel in the spring of 1404. In other words, in the first quarter of this year, a barrel of crude oil was sold $8.5 cheaper than in the final quarter of last year.
By the end of the spring of 1404 (the first quarter of the year), 19,180 urban branches and 6,504 rural branches were added to the drinking water sector, and a total of 1,276 million cubic meters of water was consumed in the domestic sector and 257 million cubic meters in the non-domestic sector.
