Major repairs of 35 South Pars platforms completed without incident

According to Energy Press, in an interview with Shana reporter, Sepahdar Abbaszadeh referred to the round-the-clock and exhausting efforts of Pars Oil and Gas Company’s operational colleagues in the summer heat to carry out major repairs in the South Pars Joint Field and said: Out of 37 production platforms, 35 platforms were in the 1404 major repairs program, which, by the grace of God, was completed without incident and in full, and about 150,000 man-hours of activity were spent by colleagues to complete this project.
Stating that this year’s major repairs program began in late Farvardin and continued until October 17, he added: These measures have prepared Pars Oil and Gas Company to fulfill production commitments in the cold season.
Regarding the most significant measures for major repairs of the offshore platforms of the South Pars Joint Field, the Deputy Director of Operations and Support of Pars Oil and Gas Company explained: This year, in addition to regular work, three important projects were carried out. First, replacing the uninterruptible power supply system (UPS) of the platforms of phases 6 and 7, which had caused problems in previous years. The second activity was related to the completion of the gas compression project on platforms in phases 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 of its exploitation. The third project was the replacement of the 32-inch outlet valves on platforms in phases 9 and 10, which ensured complete safety of these platforms by installing new valves.
