Advisor to the Minister of Oil: Women in the oil industry are the hidden pillars of stability and development
The adviser to the Minister of Oil on Women's Affairs said: The active participation of more than 17 thousand women, equivalent to 8% of the total employees of the oil industry, shows their key role in the managerial and operational positions of this industry.

According to Energy Press, the participation of women in various departments and management positions is considered one of the key indicators of the oil industry to the extent that, according to statistics, more than 17 thousand people, equivalent to 8% of the employees of this industry, who hold important positions in the nearest and farthest operational points, are women. Of these, 7,000 are official workers and 10,000 are contract workers. This large number has doubled the necessity of the active presence of the minister’s adviser on women’s affairs to be a forum for expressing their wishes. Zohra Yousefianmolla, who is one of the women who worked hard in the oil industry of the 14th government and now serves as an advisor to the Minister of Oil on women’s affairs, has discussed the role of a woman with various responsibilities, which is explained below.
Women working in the oil industry have always tried to fulfill their job responsibilities in the best possible way, in addition to fulfilling their family roles, including being a wife, mother, and child; Courageous women who do not hesitate to be in big management, sensitive positions, technical sites, operational areas, flight lines, fueling operations, repair departments of refineries, etc. In terms of education, more than 70% of female employees in the oil industry have bachelor’s degrees or higher, which shows the experience and high level of knowledge of women working in this industry.
Characteristic flexibility of Iranian women
Zohra Yousefianmolla has passed her studies despite having children and being employed, as well as all the difficulties, with a top rank.
He says: “When I was studying at the senior level, my eldest child was just born, and during the doctoral level, my second child was a baby, so I tried to study and research from different opportunities on the way to work.” The result was that by trusting in God and with the support of my family and my wife, I graduated from the University of Research Sciences with the first rank in quantum physics. I have been officially employed by the government since 1976, and I have 17 years of teaching experience at the university, and I was on the verge of being recruited into the faculty, that is, in 1395, when I entered the oil industry and research institute.
Yousufian Molla continues: Entering research activities was really attractive for me, who had gained experience in the field of education, and I was working there as a senior researcher, but after five years, due to the circumstances of my personal life and having two children, I preferred to put aside my personal interest and continued working in the deputy research and technology department of the Ministry of Petroleum. In parentheses, I should say that women’s priority is personal and family life, and sometimes they ignore their interests, and this flexibility is a gift of God to women.
The adviser to the Minister of Oil on Women’s Affairs, stating that he has served in various positions of the Research and Technology Deputy for about four years, continues: Since mid-July this year, I have been given the responsibility of advising women’s affairs at the Ministry of Oil, and this is an opportunity given to me by God. I hope that under the support and guidance of the Minister of Oil, I will be able to take steps to serve women and solve their problems in the oil industry.
