Petrochemical development is not possible without indigenous technology; smart support for knowledge-based industries is essential
The Director of Research, Technology, and Domestic Manufacturing at the National Petrochemical Industries Company emphasized the need for intelligent support for knowledge-based companies, the development of indigenous technologies, and the creation of a sustainable chain in the petrochemical industry in order to realize Iran's share in regional and global markets.

According to Energy Press, citing the National Petrochemical Industries Company, Ghodratollah Nasiri stated that targeted support for knowledge-based companies active in various sectors of the industry should be the concern of all industry activists, and stated: When we talk to some small and knowledge-based companies, we realize that their main problem is the supply of raw materials, and a supportive approach to small companies should be institutionalized in the development of the petrochemical industry. He added: This supportive approach should be implemented in the form of a documented roadmap. The National Petrochemical Industries Company has defined a roadmap for the development of complementary industries, and now it is time to operationalize it. According to the Seventh Development Plan Law, one of the main tasks is the development of downstream industries. This is not possible without paying attention to technology, so specific solutions must be provided to promote and localize technology in this sector.
Government-Industry Synergy
The Director of Research, Technology and Domestic Manufacturing at the National Petrochemical Industries Company emphasized the importance of supporting knowledge-based and technological companies, saying: “In addition to the growth of domestic production, these supports can pave the way for Iran’s stronger presence in regional markets. If we encourage creative youth and innovative companies, provide them with the necessary facilities, and benefit from the capacity of the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, we will witness a significant expansion of regional markets in a short time. This is not only valuable for the national economy, but also creates significant job opportunities.”
