Removing production bottlenecks at Jam Petrochemical; increasing capacity and reducing the risk of emergency shutdowns

According to Energy Press, citing Jam Petrochemical Company’s Public Relations and International Affairs, this project was implemented with an investment of about 150 billion rials and close cooperation between the operation, technical services, maintenance, HSE and support departments, and was able to combine various polyethylene grades with new production records; so that HD52518 reached 55 tons per hour (4 tons more than the previous record) and LL23TF6 reached 45 tons per hour (about 10 tons more than the previous conditions). In addition to eliminating the production bottleneck, the design of two independent cooling paths (PCW and cooler) has reduced the risk of emergency stops and has enabled the maintenance of capacity in the event of one of the dryers failing.
