The start of the repair season for the country’s thermal power plants
The CEO of the specialized thermal power company said: The season of repairs and optimization of the country's thermal power plants has begun with an investment volume of 40 trillion tomans to carry out a 111,000 MW repair program.

According to Energy Press, Abolfazl Asgari, CEO of the Specialized Thermal Power Company, stated that the complete readiness of power plants for sustainable electricity production is the main goal of the company and added: “Therefore, every year, after the hot season of the year and during the end of Shahrivar, the repair season of thermal power plants begins and should end by Khordad of the following year; because from Khordad, with the increase in the country’s electricity consumption, we must be able to have all the country’s thermal power production units in the production circuit with maximum readiness.” Referring to the fact that 94 percent of the country’s electricity needs are produced by thermal power plants, he said: “Given that the majority of the country’s electricity supply is the responsibility of thermal power plants, the complete readiness of these units for sustainable electricity production and meeting the consumption needs of the hot seasons of the year is of great importance.” The CEO of the specialized thermal power parent company continued: “Depending on the type, performance, age, technology, and hours the power plant has been in operation, a maintenance program is planned for these units. These measures are organized into five main categories: major and periodic repairs of steam and gas units, hot-line inspections, combustion chamber inspections, and periodic repairs of boiler units.”
