Increasing oil production capacity by launching a mobile desalination unit in the fields of the west of the country

According to Shana, citing the Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (Metan), Majid Najarian announced the start of the trial operation of the first mobile desalination unit in the Iranian oil industry and stated: This unit reached trial operation in a short period of time, relying on domestic capacity and the knowledge of Iranian specialists. We also plan to work with knowledge-based companies next year to fully localize its manufacturing technology.
He added: The installation and quality testing of this unit was carried out within a month and in full compliance with technical and safety principles, and more than 28,500 hours of safe work were recorded and completed without any accidents.
Facilitating the production process
The project manager for the development of the Cheshmekhosh, Dalpari, and Paydar Shargh oil fields stated that this mobile equipment, due to its ability to be moved and deployed quickly, performs the desalination process and separates the water with the oil before transferring it to the main facilities, and plays an important role in increasing productivity and accelerating production. He added: “The purpose of launching this equipment is to facilitate the processing of salt oil and provide the possibility of increasing the daily crude oil production capacity in these fields by about 30,000 barrels.”
