Synergy between university, research institute, and technology park; the driving force behind innovation in the oil industry

According to Energy Press, Omid Shakeri today (Wednesday, August 10) at the signing ceremony of the Trilateral Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding for the Development and Integration of the Innovation and Technology Ecosystem of the Oil Industry and the Comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding for the Establishment and Management of the Associated Gas Value Chain Development Consortium, while appreciating the presence of special guests and all colleagues, stated: The importance of this cooperation for the development of the country’s oil industry is outstanding.
Recalling the efforts made to preserve and strengthen these three complexes, he said: The work began with the establishment of the 14th government, and with continuous follow-up, the University of Petroleum Industry and the Oil Industry Technology and Innovation Park were not only preserved, but now, along with the Oil Industry Research Institute, they play a fundamental role in the development of technological issues.
The necessity of scientific and technological development in the country’s critical conditions
The Deputy Minister of Petroleum for Engineering, Research and Technology Affairs added: The cooperation of these three complexes has had tangible results for the oil industry, and from my point of view, these interactions serve not only the Ministry of Oil but also the entire oil industry family. The Memorandum of Understanding for the Establishment and Governance of the Associated Gas Value Chain Development Consortium also demonstrates the importance of this cooperation and the expectation of the community from the university, the park, and the research institute in providing extensive services to the industry.
Referring to the current critical conditions of the country, Shakeri said: “In a situation where enemies are exerting pressure from all sides, we must advance the development of the country and manage problems through scientific and technological activities. Cooperation between the university, the research institute, and the oil industry technology and innovation park can be a great blessing for the country.”
