Karaj Hydroelectric Power Plant Electricity Production Stops

According to Energy Press, Mohammad Ali Moallem, the director of the Karaj Dam, said regarding the activity of the hydroelectric power plant of this dam, noting that the electricity produced is connected to the national electricity grid: “Hydroelectric power plants in any dam can produce electricity based on the conditions of that dam.” He continued: “We are currently producing electricity from the Amir Kabir Dam, and the water that is sent to Tehran also produces electricity.” The director of the Karaj Dam noted: “Although the Karaj Dam hydroelectric power plant is currently operating, it is likely that within the next two weeks the water level will reach a level that it is no longer possible to produce electricity from this power plant because the amount of water in the dams is going below the gate.”
