The Strait of Hormuz tanker fire incident is not a “security” incident

According to Energy Press, the Guardian has released new details about the cause of the Strait of Hormuz tanker fire.
While reports of fires on three oil tankers near the Strait of Hormuz have been circulating in recent hours, raising concerns about the security of vital energy routes, more details about one of the incidents have been released by official sources. The news comes amid rising regional tensions between Iran and Israel, fueling speculation about the possibility of an attack or sabotage.
However, according to the latest Guardian report, citing the UAE Coast Guard, one of the incidents involved a collision between two oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman, near the Strait of Hormuz, during which 24 crew members from the ADALYNN tanker were evacuated by UAE rescue forces. The collision in the early hours of Tuesday morning (June 17) resulted in a fire on one of the ships.
