Suspicious changes in nominal capacity; transparency missing from Shazand Petrochemical reports
Shazand Petrochemical Company announces a new number for nominal capacity in every interpretative report; a behavior that has made the percentage of capacity realization in this company always seem desirable, but the basis for its calculation is questioned by analysts and shareholders.

According to Energy Press, while official statistics indicate a three percent decrease in Shazand Petrochemical’s production in 1403, the company’s nominal capacity realization figure reached 109 percent according to the pre-determined figures. This issue has not only surprised market participants, but also brought critical reactions from some shareholders.
However, a closer examination of the information published in the Kodal system shows that the nominal capacity realization figure of Shazand Petrochemical, taking into account the actual annual production data and the capacities declared in the interpretative reports, is a figure close to 98 percent.
Studies show that the company had 1 million 855 thousand tons of actual production and 1 million 884 thousand tons of nominal production in the 12 months of 1403, which reports a realization figure of 98 percent.
