An unprecedented 13.6% increase in electricity demand
A spokesman for the electricity industry said: "Due to the premature heat, the growth in demand for electricity consumption has increased by about 13.6 percent."

According to Energy Press, Mustafa Rajabi Mashhadi announced a 13.6 percent increase in electricity demand in recent days due to the early heat wave in the country.
He stated that the electricity demand last year was about 48,876 megawatts, which reached about 56,000 megawatts on Sunday, May 27, compared to the same day last year.
The CEO of Tavanir Company stated that the growth in electricity demand in recent days is far beyond the 8.7 percent growth of last year and stated: Due to the early heat wave, this demand growth has increased to about 13.6 percent, which will certainly reduce the imbalance of production and consumption during peak network load days by implementing 14 megaprojects and 36 consumption management packages.
