South Azadegan crude oil processing unit launched
The CEO of the Petroleum Engineering and Development Company announced the round-the-clock efforts of the executive groups to launch the first section of the crude oil processing unit of the South Azadegan Joint Field, saying: "This unit will soon enter production."

According to Energy Press, Nasrollah Zarei, referring to the importance of the South Azadegan Processing Project, called it necessary to accelerate the implementation of this project and asked all sectors to use all available facilities for timely operation and meeting production needs.
Stating that the South Azadegan Processing Unit has a processing capacity of 320,000 barrels of oil per day, he added: Due to the shortage of some specific goods, the initial planning for the opening of this project was slightly delayed, but with the round-the-clock efforts of the executive groups, one of the rows of this unit will soon enter the production circuit.
Stating that crude oil processing units play a key role in completing the oil industry value chain, the CEO of the Petroleum Engineering and Development Company said: These units, by preparing crude oil, bring it to the standards required for transportation, refining and export. Oil processing involves separating impurities such as water, salt, and associated gases that, if not removed, can damage refining equipment and challenge the export process.
