Domestic gas consumption reaches 65 percent

According to Energy Press, Seyed Hassan Mousavi, spokesman for the National Iranian Gas Company, pointed out that 847 million cubic meters of natural gas were produced and delivered to the national grid on Sunday (March 10), and announced: 65 percent of the total natural gas delivered to the grid was allocated to the domestic, commercial, and small industries sectors.
Stating that gas consumption in the domestic, commercial, and small industries sectors increased by 6 percent yesterday compared to the same day last year, he said: 552 million cubic meters of the total natural gas delivered to the national grid was consumed in this sector.
After the cold weather and the forecast of a decrease in temperature, President Masoud Pezzekian, Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad, and a group of country officials invited people to participate in the “2 degrees less” campaign by publishing video or written messages with the aim of optimal consumption and providing winter fuel.
