Bandar Imam petrochemical exports increased by 11 percent

According to Energy Press, citing Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company, the complex exported about 1.3 million tons of products in the first 11 months of this year, earning more than $834 million in foreign exchange for the country. This amount, compared to 900 thousand tons of exports in the same period last year, represents a 44.4 percent increase in the volume of exports from this complex. According to the Iranian Customs, in the first 11 months of this year, a total of 58.5 million tons of petrochemical products worth $23.5 billion were exported abroad, which increased by 29 percent in weight and 31.3 percent in value. Meanwhile, Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company accounted for 2.24 percent of the country’s total exports of petrochemical products and played an important role in providing the country with the foreign exchange it needs under sanctions.
