Gasoline imports handed over to the private sector
Regarding the latest status of importing super gasoline by the private sector, the CEO of the National Petroleum Products Refining and Distribution Company said: "With the coordination made with the Ministry of Economy, it will soon be possible to issue licenses to the private sector."

According to Energy Press, the issue of importing super gasoline was raised in November of this year with a Cabinet resolution. This resolution allowed legal entities licensed by the Ministry of Oil to import and supply super gasoline on a non-subsidized basis. The goal of this decision was to compensate for the decrease in domestic supply and respond to consumer needs.
However, despite the passage of several months, this resolution has not yet been implemented. During this period, the National Petroleum Products Distribution Company began distributing domestic super gasoline at selected stations in Tehran in recent weeks. According to Keramat Weiskarmi, CEO of the National Petroleum Products Distribution Company, 300,000 liters of super gasoline are distributed daily, but the private sector has still not been able to start importing this fuel.
The issue of the price of imported super gasoline was raised in January; the CEO of the National Petroleum Distribution Company announced that the price of this product depends on the daily import rate and denied the existing speculations about the price. However, some officials announced the possibility of supplying imported premium gasoline at a price of 40,000 tomans to 50,000 tomans if half the foreign exchange is allocated.
