Bilateral cooperation agreement between the National Iranian Gas Company and the Ministry of Communications to solve the problem of energy imbalance

According to Energy Press, citing the National Iranian Gas Company, Saeed Tavakoli stated on Sunday (February 18) at the signing ceremony of a bilateral cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology: Since the challenge of imbalance can be dealt with more quickly with intelligent management of energy consumption, more attention should be paid to the use of digital capacities in the discussion of smartization than in the past.
He continued: This agreement is concluded in order to design, implement, establish, maintain and manage an integrated platform for digital energy services with the aim of promoting the field of information technology in the energy ecosystem, namely the management of energy imbalance that the country is struggling with.
Stating that there is currently a good will in the government and parliament to address the issue of energy imbalance in all sectors and that all institutions are of the same opinion in this regard, the Deputy Minister of Oil said: These developments indicate a national approach to solving energy imbalance problems; therefore, we must make good use of this opportunity that has arisen.
Tavakoli pointed out that with a more accurate and faster implementation of this mechanism, it is hoped that the problem of energy imbalance in the country will be solved sooner with this solution, and stated: “In addition to eliminating the imbalance, the secondary goal of this plan is to help the entire country take a step towards progress and development by accurately informing each individual in society about their personal energy share and consumption, as well as household, commercial, and industrial subscribers.” He added: “Given the importance of data security, security and upstream institutions also emphasize creating a completely secure platform for the implementation of this plan, which seems to meet all security requirements with this approach.”
