Supplying 2 billion kilowatt hours of electricity to the country at the West Karun Power Plant

According to Energy Press, citing the National Iranian Oil Company, Rahim Minaei, the executive of the West Karun Power Plant project, announced that the electricity consumption of the National Iranian Oil Company in the West Karun region is about 100 megawatts and said: Based on the contract signed with MAPNA, the National Iranian Oil Company pays 6 million euros every month to have the entire 430 megawatt capacity of this power plant, even if it does not use all the electricity produced.
According to him, from the first of June to the end of October this year, about 767 million kilowatt hours of electricity produced at the West Karun Power Plant have entered the national grid.
Referring to the cooperation between the National Iranian Oil Company and the Ministry of Energy, the executive of the West Karun Power Plant project added: Since the summer of 2020, the National Iranian Oil Company has injected more than 2 billion kilowatt hours of electricity produced by the West Karun Power Plant into the national grid, which has played an important role in the electricity stability of the city of Ahvaz and Khuzestan province and has contributed to the reliable supply of energy in this region.
