Minister of Energy: Eliminating electricity imbalance is a priority for the Ministry of Energy
According to Energy Press, Abbas Aliabadi stated on Monday, February 15, at the ceremony of commissioning the water supply project for 160 villages in Hamedan province and the inauguration of the water supply line and water treatment plant in Tuyserkan city: “In the electricity sector, we have an increase in production with 14 projects on the agenda and we will solve the problem. By implementing these projects and completing unfinished power plants, we will witness an increase in electricity production and maximum efficiency of the capacities of this sector.” Aliabadi referred to the approaches of the Ministry of Energy in the management of water supply and consumption in the country and said: “Our most important task in this sector is water recycling and the optimal and beneficial use of water by institutionalizing the correct consumption pattern.” Stating that we have also sworn to eliminate the electricity imbalance and bring water recycling to acceptable conditions by managing consumption and maximum efficiency of capacities, he added: “While we are in favorable conditions in terms of technical indicators of electricity, we are among the countries with the highest electricity consumption.” The Minister of Energy stated that we have invested in creating 93,000 megawatts of electricity, and this amount will soon exceed 100,000 megawatts, noting: “The annual electricity consumption trend in the country should not increase significantly.”
