The start of the oil field development plan in Kermanshah
According to Energy Press, citing the National Iranian Oil Company, Hamid Borde attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the development plan for the three oil fields of Somar, Saman, and Delavaran today (Saturday, February 26) during a one-day visit to Kermanshah province, where he reviewed the production status and development plans of the Western Oil and Gas Company.
The plan to develop and exploit these three oil fields aims to maximize the extraction of these fields, create employment, especially in deprived and less developed areas, direct the country’s liquidity to selected oil and gas projects with maximum profitability, maximize the use of the capacity of Iranian exploration and production (E&P) companies, develop the social and economic infrastructure of Kermanshah and Ilam provinces to maximize the extraction of these fields and serve the deprived people of the region.
The implementation of this plan is being carried out with a direct investment of $235 million, including drilling 10 new wells and two repair wells in these fields.
Mine clearance operations, construction of roads and well sites, construction of surface facilities including wellhead facilities and flow and separator pipelines, and updating reservoir simulation models will be among other implementation activities in this project.
