Energy Minister: Iran ranks first in energy consumption in the world
The Minister of Energy, stating that we are ranked first in the world in terms of energy consumption, continued: "People should support us so that we can get through this difficult winter comfortably."
According to Energy Press, Abbas Aliabadi added on Tuesday at the ceremony to launch electricity savings certificate transactions, which was held with the presence of officials from the Ministry of Energy and the Capital Market: “Yesterday, 5,000 megawatt power plants were taken out of operation due to a possible fuel shortage, but despite this, the rest of the power plants are ready to produce electricity.” He noted: “The power plants are fully ready to produce electricity, but they are in trouble in terms of fuel supply.” Stating that we are ranked first in the world in terms of energy consumption, the Minister of Energy continued: “People should support us so that we can get through this difficult winter comfortably.”
