Preventing the waste of 1.3 billion cubic meters of gas in South Pars by reducing flare gases
The CEO of the South Pars Gas Complex said: "By implementing the plan to reduce flare gas emissions by the end of this year, the annual waste of 1.3 billion cubic meters of gas in South Pars will be prevented."

According to Energy Press, citing the South Pars Gas Complex Company, Gholam Abbas Hosseini stated on Friday (December 6) in a meeting with Ayatollah Seyyed Hashem Hosseini Bushehri, Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of Experts: “Sustainable gas supply to the people in the winter season, especially in cold regions, is one of the priorities of the South Pars Gas Complex, and valuable measures have been taken in this direction.”
He noted: “The reduction of flare gases in the thirteen refineries of South Pars is being carried out with precision and sensitivity, and we have achieved desirable results.”
Stating that at the beginning of this year, flare gas emissions in South Pars exceeded 8.7 million cubic meters per day, which has now been reduced to 7 million cubic meters per day, the CEO of the South Pars Gas Complex stated: “With the measures taken, the amount of gas loss due to flare gas emissions will be reduced to 5.29 million cubic meters per day by the end of this year.”
Pointing out that by achieving this goal, the amount of flare gas emissions will be reduced by about 3.6 million cubic meters per day, which will prevent more than 1.3 billion cubic meters of gas waste annually, Hosseini said: “The amount of flare gas emissions will be reduced to 3 million cubic meters per day by October of next year, which will prevent 2 billion cubic meters of gas waste annually.”
