24,000 illegal miners were collected in Tehran Province

24,000 illegal miners were collected in Tehran Province
The CEO of the Tehran Province Electricity Distribution Company announced a decrease in theft of electricity industry equipment and said: "Over the past three years, we have collected about 24,000 unauthorized miners consuming 50 megawatts, and we ask all subscribers to report any unusual noises and receive a cash reward of one million tomans for each miner discovered without revealing their names."

According to Energy Press, Qasem Shahabi stated today on the sidelines of the professional qualification assessment ceremony for contractor workers regarding the status of electricians and the number of accidents that occur to them throughout the year: Tehran Province Electricity Distribution Company has 3,200 employees, most of whom are in the operation department, and more than 600 electricians who work in the open air to provide electricity in the heat of summer and the cold of winter, and sometimes risk their lives to get the job done.
He emphasized that in order to improve the knowledge and skills of these people so that they can do the best work with the least damage at work, we have held a professional qualification test course to provide training to these people in various aspects, and he added: Electricity is very sensitive and a number of these people lose their lives throughout the year, which shows the importance of education and safety principles.
Reducing accidents in Tehran Province’s Simbanan
The CEO of Tehran Province Electricity Distribution Company stated that safety training is one of the goals of this course so that these people receive the necessary training and, by improving safety, they can carry out their work in a protected and safe manner. He stated: In Tehran Province, two or three people either lose their lives or are injured during the year; but with the supervision that has been carried out, we have not had any serious accidents this year. Undoubtedly, holding such courses will help reduce these cases, and we are very persistent in the field of safety and observing the necessary points.
Reducing the theft of electrical equipment
In response to another question from ISNA regarding the amount of theft of electrical equipment in Tehran province, Shahabi stated: As long as bare copper wires are available, we will witness theft of electrical equipment. Over the past three years, we have converted about 1,500 kilometers of the remaining wires into self-supporting cables, which is why the theft of overhead wires has almost reached zero. We have also equipped the doors of the switchboards, but it is not finished yet. In total, it should be said that the amount of thefts is about 20 to 25 billion tomans annually, which has decreased significantly this year due to the security measures that have been implemented.
There are 50 to 60 thousand unofficial branches annually. In response to another question from ISNA regarding the amount of electricity theft in Tehran province, he said: “Due to the unauthorized constructions that have been created in Tehran province, we have 50 to 60 thousand unofficial branches annually. With the frequent meetings that we have held with the Inspection Organization, the judiciary, and prosecutors, we are now providing temporary electricity to people who are subject to the law and whose construction year is 1396 or earlier.”
