We must increase the share of CNG in the country’s fuel portfolio

According to Energy Press, citing the National Iranian Petroleum Products Distribution Company, Keramat Weiskarami stated: “We are seeking to create conditions for the supply, transportation, and distribution of gasoline in the country so that this can be done without the slightest problem.” He stated that, given the high volume of gasoline consumption in the country, we must put diversification of the fuel portfolio on the agenda, adding: “Therefore, we must pay more attention to CNG fuel and increase its share in the country’s fuel portfolio.” Stating that there is a favorable capacity and infrastructure to increase the share of CNG in the country’s fuel portfolio, the CEO of the National Iranian Petroleum Products Distribution Company said: “Given the current conditions, CNG consumption in the country is currently low, which is why we are seeking to increase consumption in the fleet.” Stating that efforts are being made to ensure that the amount of fuel delivered to high-consumption consumers is based on their actual performance and functionality, Weiskarmi added: “The update of the “Sadaf” system (Petroleum Products Request System) is underway so that fuel consumers can request fuel through this system and it will be given to them after review.”
