The water reserves of 22 important dams in the country are less than 25% of the capacity of their reservoirs; In other words, more than three quarters of the reservoirs of these dams are empty.

According to Energy Press, in the first 35 days of the current water year (from the beginning of October 1403 to the fifth of November), a total of 1.390 million cubic meters of water entered the dams of Iran, which is compared to the 1.510 million cubic meters of water entering the dams in the same period. Last year, there was a decrease of 8%.
Also, during this period, in order to supply drinking water, agriculture, industry and environmental issues, 2 billion and 870 million cubic meters of water have been released from the country’s dams, which is compared to the output of 3 billion and 130 million cubic meters of water in the same period of the water year before the dams. It shows a decrease of 8%.
