Increasing Iran’s share in world oil production
According to Energy Press, Iran’s oil industry has always faced the most severe sanctions in recent decades. These sanctions started by limiting the presence of international companies and continued during the presidency of Donald Trump in the United States with the aim of reducing Iran’s oil exports to zero, however, Iran’s oil exports never reached zero and even the American authorities are against the ineffectiveness of the sanctions against Iran’s oil industry emphasized.
Now, after more than 6 years have passed since the unilateral withdrawal of the United States from the JCPOA (May 18, 2017) and the country’s sanctions are getting tighter every day, according to the report of international organizations, Iran has been able to increase its share of the world’s crude oil production.
According to the latest report of the Secretariat of the Oil Exporting Countries (OPEC), Iran’s oil production has increased by 21 thousand barrels per day in the last month, and among the OPEC member countries, the largest increase in production was in September (September – October) and the growth was 0 It has registered 6%. The total oil production of OPEC members has decreased by 2.3% this month.
The oil production of OPEC Plus members increased by 47 thousand barrels per day in September and reached 14 million 60 thousand barrels per day from 14 million 13 thousand barrels per day in August. However, Russian oil production decreased by 28,000 barrels per day last month.
The statistics published by the US Energy Information Administration also confirm the increase in Iran’s share of the world’s crude oil production.
