Petrol vs. Flow; Trying to break the cycle of crude sales

According to the exclusive report of Energy Press, Abdulrahim Ghanbarian, acting vice president of planning and business development of Petrol, in an exclusive interview with “Energy Press”, emphasized the importance of moving towards the value chain in the petrochemical industry.
Criticizing the past focus of the petrochemical industry on the construction of large production units of basic products and not paying attention to the value chain, Ghanbarian pointed out the importance of this issue and said: despite the officials’ repeated emphasis on preventing crude sales, the value chain in petrochemicals has been neglected.
Petrol; A leader in creating a value chain
Referring to various projects defined by Petrol in the field of value chain, including Urmia Petrochemical, Ilam and Negin Islamabad, Ghanbarian showed that the company seeks to create more added value and reduce dependence on the export of primary products.
The Deputy Director of Planning and Business Development of Petrol said: One of the most important achievements of Petrol is the establishment of a compound fertilizer production unit in Urmia Petrochemical. This unit, which is the first unit of its kind in the country’s petrochemical industry, is an important step towards meeting the domestic need for chemical fertilizers and reducing dependence on imports. Also, Petrol is developing polyaluminum chloride and polypropylene production units in Ilam Petrochemicals and Arghwan Gostar Ilam, which can help to increase the variety of manufactured products and improve the economic status of these companies.
