How did Zangzor put Iran’s gas on the path of isolation?
An expert in the field of energy said: Now the situation in Iran is such that pipelines have been built and launched in the north, south, east and west, and we are surrounded as an island.

According to Energy Press, Mirgasem Momeni said about Turkey’s gas plans and its impact on Iran’s export situation: Gas is a strategic product, but its production and export requires technology and political, economic and security costs. Unlike oil, gas export is difficult. Because it takes a long time to get it from the origin to the destination, and the pipelines need to cross the seabed or difficult paths to reach the consumer, so the lines must be safe in the long term.
He added: Now, due to its geographical location in the region and in the absence of Iran, Turkey has put ambitious measures on the agenda, although Iran has always been the priority of the world countries to receive gas from Iran, because we have a good situation in terms of geopolitics and access and resources. However, we were sanctioned due to differences in the nuclear case, and companies that invest in oil and gas were not included in the category of investing in Iran, because the sanctions against Iran are such that no company is willing to cooperate because they will also be sanctioned.
This energy expert said: Pakistan was supposed to buy gas from Iran, but it stopped the project and plans to receive gas from Turkmenistan via Afghanistan, because it believes that this gas is both cheaper and safer, and that it is not under sanctions now. Turkey receives gas through Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Iran. The Turks send gas from their country’s pipelines to Bandar Faw and Basra and are connected to the Persian Gulf countries, from this point of view, India is designing a pipeline from Oman, UAE and Saudi Arabia, in other words, none of the important gas pipelines that are under construction in the region And they are designed not to pass through Iran, and this will be a disaster for us after the sanctions, because long-term contracts have been concluded and pipelines have been built. Therefore, even if the embargo is lifted, they are not willing to invest and we cannot export the gas and we have to burn this gas.
