Stating that the peak electricity consumption last summer was 72,725 megawatts, he added: Due to the unprecedented heat of the country, this number has reached 79,189 megawatts this year. In other words, we have faced a 9% (8.8%) increase in electricity consumption.
Mehrabian reminded: the average growth of 10 years of Iran’s electricity industry has been recorded at 4.7%; In such a situation, it can be said that this year the country has experienced twice the average growth of electricity consumption in previous years.
By announcing that the amount of electricity supply this year exceeded the pessimistic scenarios predicted by the Ministry of Energy, he spoke about the limitations of electricity supply in other countries and said: In Kuwait, blackout schedules have been announced and implemented for more than a month. will be Also, there are continuous power outages in Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Oman.
