Achievements of the 13th government of Iran with an extraterritorial refinery
One of the achievements of the 13th government in the field of oil is related to the issue of offshore refineries; An issue that has been accompanied by many commotions in recent months and is trying to instill the lie that Iran has acquired part of the shares of foreign refineries.

According to Energy Press, this lie has been heard most about the El Palito refinery; A 110,000 barrel refining unit to which Iran is said to send 100,000 barrels of gas condensate daily. The media aligned with the government are spreading the lie that Iran has become the shareholder of this refinery, while the Iran Oil Engineering and Construction Company has been responsible for providing the necessary parts for this refinery and overhauling it, and there is no news of ownership.

Meanwhile, “Farhad Ahmadi”, CEO of Iran Oil Engineering and Construction Company, said about this: This contract was signed with the purpose of major repairs, start-up and completion of the operational capacity of a refinery unit. He added: The financial resources of this project will be provided by Niko company, whose financial contract has also been signed between Niko company and the Venezuelan company.

But the more important point here is that the technical relations between Iran and Venezuela started in the previous government, and in the same period, various technical groups traveled to Caracas to revive part of the country’s refining capacity, but basically, due to the confidentiality of the project, no details about this were published; Just unlike the current government, which trumpets its own actions against the national interests as much as it can.
