And the benefits abounded.
Bad payment conditions for oil workers have now faced this industry with the problem of manpower shortage. The desire to work in oil projects has decreased drastically, and many prefer to migrate to Persian Gulf countries and receive appropriate salaries and benefits. As Hedayat Khademi, head of the Association of Oil and Gas Drilling Companies, tells the market: the minimum salary received by oil workers in the Persian Gulf countries and other oil-rich countries in the region is $1,500. However, the senior oil manager in our country who is officially employed is about $1,100 to $1,200. In other words, a simple oil worker in neighboring countries can find more than Iranian senior managers and experts.
The lack of manpower is the main challenge of the head of the 14th government

A government that claims to seek interaction with the world and considers economic development dependent on the lifting of sanctions. He believes that the lack of manpower is one of the 4 main challenges of the oil industry that the head of the 14th government should think about. Because if the country is going to achieve an 8% economic growth, it is not possible to reach this goal without the development of the oil industry.

It was supposed to prevent the payment of exorbitant salaries by determining the salary ceiling. Now this law has become a challenge in the oil industry. The approved salaries paid by the oil sub-groups are no longer proportional to the hard work of the oil workers. The temperature reaches above 60 degrees in many summer days. Under normal conditions, it is very difficult to bear this temperature, now you have to add 90 degree humidity to this hot air. One of the workers in thick clothes is welding near the installations and structures that generate a lot of heat. Flare gases spread in the air and it is difficult to breathe. He, who has 15 years of experience working in oil platforms, earns about 30 million tomans a month.
According to Khademi, some simple operational workers in the oil industry receive a monthly salary of 15 million tomans. This amount of salary is equivalent to 250 dollars. However, the income of a simple oil worker in neighboring countries is at least 6 times this figure.
