The spokesperson of the country’s water industry stated that the total rainfall in the dry climate of the country has serious variations, adding: for example, in areas such as the Central Plateau, we see 45 mm of rain, while in some other areas, 1400 mm of rain is received. .
He also pointed out different rainfall fronts and the effect of their activity on the state of water resources in the country and stated: the activity of the Mediterranean, Red Sea and Indian monsoon fronts determines the state of the country’s water resources during a water year.
Qasimzadeh stated that the amount of rainfall in the entire width of the country in the current water year has been recorded 3% more than the normal conditions, and continued: This is despite the fact that the rainfall is different in different parts of the country, so that the amount of rainfall in Tehran is lower than the normal conditions. In the past 55 years, it has decreased by 19%, and on the other hand, we saw a 50% increase in rainfall in Yazd and Sistan and Baluchistan provinces.
The spokesperson of the country’s water industry reminded: Currently, 6 provinces of the country are facing water tension, which include Tehran, Bushehr, Qazvin, Fars, Semnan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari respectively.
Stating that the country has faced a serious decrease in rainfall in the last three consecutive water years, he stated that the flow of most of the rivers was zero or close to zero until the last few months, and this caused the condition of the water reservoirs of a significant number of The country’s dams are in poor condition.
