According to Energy Press, Ali Akbar Mehrabian said in a joint meeting with the members of the Iran Steel Association, which was held with the aim of coordinating the supply of electricity for the steel industry, that Iran’s steel industry is one of the leading and driving industries of the country, which depends on energy for the continuation of the production process. It needs enough electricity and the Ministry of Energy is trying to provide the highest possible amount of electricity for this industry in the upcoming hot season in the form of interactive programs that will be implemented with the steel association.
Pointing out that in the past two years, through load shifting, it was possible to supply sufficient electricity needed by energy industries in the country, he added: Steel industries reduce the amount of electricity consumed during peak hours and increase the amount of electricity consumed during low hours.
