Jalil Sobhani, the father of Iran’s catalyst

Jalil Sobhani was born in 1343 in Shazand Arak. He completed his education from elementary to high school in Shazand city and worked in the governorate of the city from 1360 to 1361.
In 1361 to 1362, he worked in the Pars Arak Wagon Factory as a manager of the Energy Center, and from 1362 he started studying at the University of Science and Technology (Tehran Technical Complex Branch) in the field of power electricity.

In 1366, he worked in Zamiyad factory in Tehran (as the head of the electrical unit) and from 1367 to 1368 he worked in Hamedan milk factory as the technical manager of the factory and from 1368 to 1378 he worked in Arak Petrochemical from the position of shift supervisor to the position of district 2 watchman. He has been working and in 1370 due to his interest in electronics, he started to study again in the field of electronics in parallel and in 1374 he obtained a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering.
Since 1366, in parallel with the activity in the Hamedan milk factory, I have established Elham industrial electrical workshop and started the production of industrial electrical switchboards-setting up factories in Hamadan province, and in 1368 I established the largest industrial electrical switchboard factory in Central province and with a mature force Over 80 people have operated the production of industrial electrical panels under the name of Electrostandard and services to the central province of Lorestan, Hamadan, Tehran, Yazd, Isfahan, and have designed and launched more than 100 factories in various fields.

By 1378, he handed over the relevant collection to his brother, and in 1378, by the order of Mr. Nematzadeh, it was transferred to the Spec company in Tehran, whose mission was to support domestic production.

From 1378, he was transferred to Spec company in Tehran and started working as the head of precision instrument electrical engineering unit – business manager – engineering manager and in 1387 as the managing director of Spec.

In 2008, Speck was handed over to the private sector, and according to the mission of Speck, which was to support domestic manufacturing, he is the CEO of Speck until now, and has been able to localize about 78% of the oil, gas, and petrochemical needs and free the oil industry from imports. and today, by God’s grace, we have supported more than 800 domestic producers with all our might and tried to institutionalize domestic production, and in some important cases, with high technology, we are the main competitor of European and American countries.

It should be noted that these catalysts have been prepared and are ready to be delivered to the petrochemical company. The performance of these catalysts is in the field of gasoline, diesel, polymer, and ethylene oxide catalysts.

Another achievement of this knowledge-based holding is the operation of a 10,000-ton coke production unit, which was created to solve the problems of the steel industry.

Jalil Sobhani’s efforts and gasoline self-sufficiency

Regarding gasoline self-sufficiency, Jalil Sobhani says that since 1387, when the sanctions were not so severe, the United States, which is known as the exclusive manufacturer of catalysts in the world, suddenly decided to embargo the sale of catalysts to Iran. As you know, the presence of catalysts in the production of gasoline is considered as a vital artery.

Sobhani admitted that this issue has caused petrochemical companies, including Danesh Banyan HNT Holding, to make a lot of efforts to reach self-sufficiency in these materials, and currently more than 90% of the catalysts needed to produce Euro 4 and Euro 5 gasoline It is produced in the country.
