45% share of Persian Gulf Star Refinery in supplying the country’s fuel basket

According to Energy Press, citing the South Pars Gas Complex Company, Hossein Shamshiri said on Tuesday (March 27) that the South Pars Complex provides more than 73 percent of the country’s gas needs by processing gas extracted from the South Pars Joint Field, and added: “A large volume of gas condensates and other gas products are also produced in this complex, which, in addition to providing the feed needed by the country’s industries, has a worthy and significant export and foreign exchange in the country’s economic growth and turnaround.” Stating that 710,000 barrels of gas condensates are produced daily in the complex’s refineries, he added: “This gas complex, as a hub for gas production and, subsequently, gas condensates in Iran, plays an irreplaceable role in gasoline production and the country’s self-sufficiency in supplying this strategic energy by supplying about 450,000 barrels of gas condensates daily to the Persian Gulf Star Refinery, the largest gas condensate refinery in the world.”
