4 million fuel cards were issued in Iran last year

According to Energy Press, Mohammad Sadeghi, the manager of Smart Fuel System, announced the increase in the production of fuel cards and said: Every day, between 12,000 and 15,000 of our compatriots apply to register and receive fuel cards.

Sadeghi said: Last year, more than 3,600,000 requests for fuel cards were registered in the smart fuel system, and the number of cards produced was more than the number of registrations, which means that in 2023, about 4 million fuel cards will be produced.

He further added: Since the beginning of this year, 105,000 requests for fuel cards have been registered, and all these figures are in the production process.

In the end, the manager of the smart system said: There are currently about 31 million active fuel cards in the country and there is no problem in producing fuel cards.

He said: Considering the production capacity of fuel cards, it should be said that last year there was a daily capacity of 20,000 to 25,000 cards. But with the arrival of new equipment, this capacity reaches about 80,000 cards per day.
