3 gas fields to be handed over to steel industries

According to Energy Press, Hamid Bord said on the sidelines of the Fifth National Development Fund Conference: “We had a serious challenge in the gas sector in the past eight months, but we overcame this challenge.”
He added that we also believe that not cutting off industrial gas would have been more profitable for the country. However, this decision to temporarily cut off industrial gas was made by higher authorities than the oil company.
The CEO of the National Oil Company said: “We have increased gas production by 40 million cubic meters in the past six months.”
Referring to the fact that important steps have been taken in financing the oil sector, he said: “If we do not pay attention to gas fields through the private sector and the National Development Fund, the challenges in this sector will increase.”
