24% decrease in water reserves in the country’s dams
The amount of water reserves in dams on the 10th of Khordad 1403 (1924) exceeded 35 billion cubic meters, which, when compared to the current volume of water reserves in dams, indicates a 24% decrease in the country's dam water reserves.

According to Energy Press, in the first 250 days of the current water year (from the beginning of October 1403 to the 10th of Khordad 1404), a total of 20 billion and 670 million cubic meters of water entered Iran’s dams, which is a 41% decrease compared to the 35 billion and 220 million cubic meters of water entering the dams during the same period of the previous water year. Also, during this period, 18 billion and 660 million cubic meters of water was released from the country’s dams to provide drinking water, agriculture, industry and environmental issues, which is a 17% decrease compared to the 22 billion and 600 million cubic meters of water output during the same period of the previous water year.
