10 million liters of gasoline production jump; How did the 14th government change the fuel equation?

According to Energy Press, while Iran has been struggling with challenges such as unprecedented increase in domestic consumption, growth in fuel smuggling, and infrastructure pressures in the energy sector in recent years, the 14th government, with an approach based on smart management and technical exploitation, succeeded in creating a significant leap in the country’s gasoline production.
A growth that, in the second half of 1403 alone, created a new narrative of the regeneration of national capacities in the energy sector.
According to official reports, since the second half of 1403 and simultaneously with the establishment of the 14th government, the average daily gasoline production in the country’s refineries increased by an unprecedented 8 million liters. This leap was the result of improving the efficiency of refineries, modifying processes, improving the efficiency of existing units, launching new process units, and immediately implementing optimization projects across the country’s refineries. This trend continued in 1404, and the production growth rate reached 10 million liters per day.
In fact, refinery production of gasoline, which was about 97 million liters per day before the 14th government came to power, reached more than 107 million liters in the spring of 1404. Including production from storage warehouses, the country’s total daily production increased to about 120 million liters by Ordibehesht 1404; while this number was previously estimated at about 110 million liters.
Strategic reserves in the test of crisis
In parallel with this production surge, the level of fuel reserves was also strengthened to an unprecedented extent, reaching about 20 million liters per day. These reserves played a vital role in crises such as the 12-day war, when daily gasoline consumption exceeded 200 million liters. The fuel distribution network remained operational without interruption; a performance that some have called the “national saga of energy sustainability.”
