The Persian Gulf Star Refinery, with a daily production of 42 million liters of gasoline and 14 million liters of diesel, is the main pillar of Iran\u2019s self-sufficiency in fuel production. The Persian Gulf Star Refinery construction project was launched in 2006 with the aim of processing gas condensate from the huge South Pars field. The refinery, which receives its feed from the South Pars gas refineries through a 388-kilometer pipeline, reached full operation in 2018 with the completion of all three main phases. \nWith a daily production of 42 million liters of gasoline and 14 million liters of diesel, Setareh Khalij Fars accounts for about 15 percent of the country’s total refining capacity and supplies more than 45 percent of Iran’s fuel basket, especially gasoline.
