Among the active units, aromatic petrochemicals hold a special place, as they convert hydrocarbon feeds into substances such as gasoline, toluene, and xylene.<\/p>\n<p>In this report, we will introduce the country&#8217;s aromatic petrochemicals, production capacity and challenges facing this industry.<br \/>\nBackground and main players<br \/>\nThe activity of Iran&#8217;s aromatic units dates back to about half a century ago, when Bandar Imam Petrochemical was launched as the first unit in this field. This petrochemical, along with other similar units, uses naphtha and gas condensate as feedstock and produces valuable products.<br \/>\nCurrently, Persian Gulf Holding is the largest producer of aromatic products in the country.
